After working many years with children and their parents, it occurred to me that many of these girls and women are lacking the skills that their grandmothers and great-grandmothers before their time had perfected.

We will work as a team to learn traditional skills such as sewing, farming, crocheting, cooking, techniques in raising children, prioritizing, and organizing, (just to name a few) while setting goals and doing service for God and our community.  We plan on fishing (and cleaning our catch), maple syrup tapping, rag rug weaving, participating in our local fair and parades, and offering service projects to improve our community and help others.

We will learn these skills using traditional methods and modern technologies.
