Pioneer Girlz is a not for-profit organization dedicated to providing todays girls with the skills of yesterday.

Our goal is to help raise healthy, strong, happy girls with old fashioned values and skills using modern technologies and resources.

Our motto ... With the guidance of God, we will value loyalty, honesty, and integrity.

All money from donations, registrations, and Charter Membership will go directly to the start-up of the organization and the operational costs such as insurance and background checks, etc.

Money left over from these costs, as well as fundraising, and possible dues, will go towards the girls adventures and supplies needed.

As Life Goes On

A lot of work and a little play,
A neighbor to pass the time of day,
These make the wheels of contentment roll
And help to satisfy the soul.
Build for the future, forget the past.
Its troubles were like a stormy blast
Gone with the darkness of the night,
Leaving a world more fair and bright.
Only the hardened scar remains,
Like burned over forest or desolate plains.
Then God in his mercy looks down from above
And sheds on my heart his infinite love,
Erasing all trace of the stormy past,
Renewing beautiful hope that will last.

After working many years with children and their parents, it occurred to me that many of these girls and women are lacking the skills that their grandmothers and great-grandmothers before their time had perfected.

We will work as a team and learn traditional skills such as sewing, farming, crocheting, cooking, techniques in raising children, prioritizing, organizing, (just to name a few) while setting goals and doing service for God and our community.  We plan on fishing (and cleaning them), maple syrup tapping, rag rug weaving, participating in our local fair and parades, and many service projects to improve our community and help others.

We will learn these skills using traditional methods and modern technologies.
